The SHARE Groups of Edward-Elmhurst Health extend their condolences to you on the loss of your baby and offer you a warm, sympathetic, and accepting environment in which to cope with your grief. SHARE is a support group for those who have experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or neonatal death. It is comprised of parents who are feeling the same pain that you are. By learning that you are not alone in your grief, your sense of isolation may be relieved. We hope that this intimate support group may provide you with comfort.
If you attend a SHARE meeting, you will be welcomed with open arms. You may actively participate in the discussions, vent your feelings of loss, frustration, and anger. Or, if you wish, you may just observe and listen. Either way, we will support you and respect your feelings. SHARE meetings consist of occasional presentations, which address common concerns of bereaved parents, followed by an open discussion.
